The 2020 World Laser Manufacturing Conference was held in Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center recently. With the theme of "Enabling Intelligent Manufacturing, Brightening the Future", more than 10 global laser experts and business representatives from China, the United States, Germany and Russia discussed the development trend of the global laser industry.

At the conference site, Gao Zhan, deputy director of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, stated that the scale of Shenzhen’s laser industry exceeded 26 billion yuan in 2019, accounting for about 25% of the national laser industry and 70% of the Guangdong’s laser industry. A complete laser industry system of laser core components, midstream laser processing equipment and downstream laser applications has gradually formed.

It is also understood that in order to promote the high-quality cluster development of the laser industry in Bao'an District, the Guangdong Laser Industry Association and the Shenzhen Laser Intelligent Manufacturing Association have built a laser industrial park in Xinqiao Street, Bao'an District. The park covers an area of 32,000 square meters and has a total construction area. 52,800 square meters, committed to building a professional park with an output value of more than ten billion.

Wang Yun, a researcher at the Northern Laser Research Institute, said that in recent years, domestic laser cutting machine technology has developed in the direction of high power, high precision and large format. Under the background of China's intelligent manufacturing, the industrial field is showing a trend of transition from traditional processing to high-end manufacturing, and the market scale of China's laser cutting field will also maintain a trend of rapid development.
